Focal radiation for prostate cancer with HDR brachytherapy

Prostate AdenocarcinomaStage I Prostate Cancer American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) v8Stage II Prostate Cancer AJCC v8

Part of Cancer, Kidney & urinary clinical trials.

This trial tests a targeted radiation treatment called HDR brachytherapy for prostate cancer that hasn't spread. It aims to treat only the cancer spots seen on MRI, which may reduce side effects.

  • An MRI must show one or more cancer spots.
  • You cannot have cancer that has spread to distant parts of the body or lymph nodes, confirmed by a bone scan, CT or MRI, or a PSMA PET scan.

NCT04945642Recruiting
Radiation combination therapy for intermediate to high-risk prostate cancer

This trial studies a combination of two radiation types—high-dose-rate brachytherapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy—to treat certain intermediate- to high-risk prostate cancers. It may help by aiming radiation closely at the prostate while also targeting the cancer from outside the body.

NCT05665738Recruiting
Two-visit HDR radiation to treat early prostate cancer

This study tests a radiation treatment delivered in two fractions (two sessions) as the only treatment for certain early-stage prostate cancers. It may help you avoid other treatments, like hormone therapy, depending on whether your cancer and health history fit the study.

San Francisco, California
NCT02391051Recruiting· Phase 2
Targeted radiation for low-risk prostate cancer

This trial tests a focused form of radiation placed inside the prostate to treat only the cancer area in people with low-risk prostate cancer. It aims to control the cancer while limiting treatment to a smaller area.

NCT00913939Recruiting
MRI-guided high-dose-rate treatment for recurrent prostate cancer

This study tests a targeted radiation approach called high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy, guided by MRI, for certain people with recurrent or higher-risk prostate cancer. It may help deliver radiation more precisely, depending on your cancer type and prior treatments.

Toronto, Ontario
NCT03424850Recruiting· Phase 1/Phase 2
Tested different radiation doses for early prostate cancer

This trial studies how safe and effective different high-dose radiation levels are for prostate cancer placed directly in the prostate (HDR brachytherapy). It may help by finding a dose that controls the cancer while keeping side effects acceptable.

St Louis, Missouri
NCT04231006Recruiting
High-dose salvage radiation for prostate cancer that came back locally

This trial studies high-dose radiation (HDR) given after prostate cancer returns only in the prostate/seminal vesicles. It may help by trying to control the cancer when it has not spread elsewhere, using targeted treatment based on MRI and biopsy proof.
