Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 50 years old.
- You have a first-time, complete tear of your ACL that needs surgical repair.
- You are willing to have the ACL reconstruction using the peroneus longus tendon from your own leg.
- You are active in sports or regular physical activities.
- You can commit to follow-up visits and a rehabilitation program.
- You have not had any prior knee surgery on the same knee.
- You do not have major knee cartilage damage, arthritis, or other ligament injuries needing repair.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, have no bleeding disorders, and are not taking blood-thinning medications.
