Who can take part

  • You have pre-COPD or COPD (stages I to IV)
  • You are a healthy person without any major medical conditions
  • You have not had a COPD flare-up needing emergency care or hospital stay in the last 3 months
  • You do not have a neuromuscular disease (like muscular dystrophy)
  • You are not severely malnourished or underweight, per your doctor's assessment
  • You have not been taking folic acid supplements continuously
