Part of Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This study follows people who currently smoke and people who may have newly found COPD (chronic obstructive lung disease) based on breathing test results. It aims to better understand lung disease in real life and what it means for health over time.

Microbiome study in COPD patients and healthy smokers

This study looks at how bacteria in your body and other chemicals relate to COPD. It compares people with COPD to healthy smokers to find differences.

NCT03014609Recruiting
Testing cardiovascular risk in people with COPD

This trial studies cardiovascular (heart and blood vessel) risk in people who have stable COPD or a recent worsening of COPD. It may help researchers understand which risks to monitor during and after a COPD flare and how to prevent complications.

Study of early-onset severe COPD in younger adults

This study looks at people who develop COPD (a long-term lung breathing problem) at a younger age and have severe airflow limitation. It may help researchers better understand COPD in early-onset patients and find ways to improve care for this group.

Study of early COPD lung function in adults

This study looks at lung function in people with early COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) to understand what happens over time. If you meet the lung test and health requirements, you may be able to help researchers learn how to better track and manage early COPD.

Study of early COPD changes using breathing tests and scans
