Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of a vascular tumor or malformation (such as hemangioendothelioma or Kasabach-Merritt syndrome) that has not responded to at least one prior treatment.
  • You are at least 1 year old.
  • You have a measurable lesion (tumor or mark) at least 1 cm in size that can be seen on a CT or MRI scan.
  • You are generally able to care for yourself and are up and about for at least half the day (ECOG score 0, 1, or 2).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you could become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 8 weeks after.
  • Your blood counts, kidney and liver function are within safe limits, and you do not have uncontrolled infections, diabetes, or high cholesterol.
