Fexuprazan to prevent stomach bleeding in heart patients on two blood thinners

Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS)Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

Treatments studied

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests whether fexuprazan can prevent upper gastrointestinal bleeding in people at high risk who need two antiplatelet drugs for at least 6 months after a heart stent. If you are on dual antiplatelet therapy after a stent and have risk factors like older age, low weight, or history of ulcers, this study may help protect your stomach.

Lower dose blood thinners after heart artery stenting

This trial tests if a shorter, lower dose of two blood thinners is safe and effective for patients with a recent heart attack or unstable angina who are at high risk for bleeding. It uses a special stent that might allow for less medication.

Fexuprazan for stomach protection during blood thinners

This trial tests whether fexuprazan can help prevent stomach bleeding in people with atrial fibrillation who take blood thinners like apixaban or rivaroxaban. If you are at higher risk for stomach bleeding, this study may offer extra protection.
