Producing stem cells for pancreatic cell research

Diabetes

Part of Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This study collects skin or blood samples to create stem cells that can be turned into insulin-producing pancreatic cells. It may help people with diabetes and other beta cell disorders by providing cells for future research or treatments.

Stem cells combined with islet transplant for diabetes

This trial tests if umbilical cord stem cells can improve the success of islet cell transplants for people with diabetes whose own pancreas no longer makes enough insulin. It aims to help patients achieve better blood sugar control and reduce dangerous low blood sugar episodes.

NCT06938334Not yet recruiting· Phase 1/Phase 2
Gene therapy with your own stem cells for early type 1 diabetes

This trial tests a new gene therapy that uses your own blood stem cells to treat type 1 diabetes soon after diagnosis. It aims to see if this treatment can help preserve your body's ability to make insulin.

Stem cell islet transplant for diabetes

This study tests if islet cells made from stem cells can be safely transplanted to help control blood sugar in people with diabetes. It may offer a new treatment option for those who need insulin.

NCT07503028Enrolling by invitation· Early Phase 1
Stem cell therapy for severe low blood sugar in diabetes

This trial tests a new treatment made from stem cells that may help people with diabetes who have dangerous low blood sugar episodes. It aims to see if these cells can replace some of the pancreas function and prevent severe hypoglycemia.

New Pancreatic Cells for Type 1 Diabetes Control

This early-stage trial tests whether transplanting special pancreatic cells can help people with type 1 diabetes better control their blood sugar and reduce dangerous low-blood-sugar episodes. The goal is to reduce your dependence on insulin injections.

Building a bank of stem cells from young adults

This research study collects blood cells from healthy young adults to create special stem cells (iPS cells) that can be used for future regenerative medicine. It aims to build a hospital-based platform to make these cells for treating diseases.
