Who can take part

  • You have had serious injuries from blunt force (like a car crash) or a penetrating wound (like a stabbing).
  • You are in a state of shock (low blood pressure or signs of poor blood flow).
  • You have not had a chest injury.
  • You do not have a long-term lung condition like COPD, sleep apnea, or similar disease.
  • You do not have sepsis (infection spreading in the blood) causing shock.
  • You are not pregnant.
