Who can take part
- You are a healthy volunteer between 18 and 35 years old, with a body mass index (BMI) between 20 and 24.9, and you do not smoke.
- You are 60 years or older and have high blood pressure (hypertension) that is controlled with medication.
- You do not have heart disease, dementia, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or other major medical conditions like kidney or liver failure.
- You are not taking certain heart medications (like antiarrhythmics, digoxin, or alpha-blockers) that affect heart rate or blood pressure.
- You are able to safely do exercise on a stationary bike and provide written consent to participate.
