Who can take part

  • You are between 8 and 12 years old.
  • Your upper jaw is smaller than your lower jaw (a condition called skeletal class III).
  • You have a narrow upper arch or some back teeth are biting inside your lower teeth.
  • You have at least three strong teeth in each back section of your mouth and healthy gums.
  • You have not had any previous treatment to widen your upper jaw.
  • You do not have a cleft lip or palate, or any other medical condition that would make orthodontic treatment unsafe.
