Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with Takayasu arteritis by a rheumatologist
  • You have been on a biologic drug (such as TNF inhibitors or tocilizumab) for at least 3 years
  • Your disease has been quiet (no symptoms, normal blood tests, and stable scans) for the past year
  • You have not taken any steroids for at least 6 months
  • You can come to the hospital for scheduled check-ups after stopping or reducing your biologic
  • You are not pregnant and do not plan to become pregnant during the study
