Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with early-stage idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a type of lung scarring.
  • You do not have any metal implants or devices that would make an MRI unsafe.
  • You do not have any conditions that would make a lung washing (bronchoalveolar lavage) risky for you.
