Herbal medicine study for chest pain after stent placement

Who can take part

  • You have stable chest pain (angina) that is graded I, II, or III by your doctor
  • You had a drug-coated stent placed for a severe blockage (at least 75% in one artery or 50% in the left main artery)
  • You are between 50 and 75 years old
  • Your chest discomfort is believed to be due to a traditional Chinese medicine pattern called yang qi deficiency and decline
  • You are willing to follow the study instructions and sign a consent form
