- Between 30 and 60 years old
- Body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 29.9
- Physically active – at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise 4 or more days per week
- Able to avoid alcohol, caffeine, and intense exercise for 24 hours before each test day
- Willing to avoid pomegranate juice, CoQ10, vitamin B3, L-carnitine, and MK-4 supplements during the study
