Who can take part

  • You are a cancer patient with a bacterial infection that is resistant to many antibiotics
  • The bacteria must be from a clinical sample (like blood, urine, or wound) that is tested in a lab
  • The bacteria must be classified as MDR (resistant to 3 or more types of antibiotics), XDR (resistant to all but 2 types), or PDR (resistant to all types)
  • You are not participating if the bacteria is from a non-cancer patient, is a contaminant, is a duplicate, or is not resistant enough
