Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with rectal adenocarcinoma that is medium or low in the rectum (within 10 cm from the anus).
- Your tumor has high-risk features like being deeply invasive (cT4) or involving lymph nodes (cN2).
- You have not had any prior treatment for rectal cancer (no surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation).
- You have a good performance status (ECOG 0 or 1) and your organs (heart, lungs, liver, kidneys) are working well enough for surgery.
