  • You had a heart attack (with or without ST-elevation) and were treated with a stent
  • You do not need blood thinners for other reasons (like a heart valve problem or blood clots)
  • You have not had a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) in the past
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have no active bleeding or a bleeding disorder
