Blended Vision vs. Monovision LASIK for Reading Age

This study compares two laser eye surgery approaches for people over 40 who need reading glasses. Both methods use LASIK to reduce or eliminate your need for glasses, but they work differently—one eye may be set for distance and one for close-up (monovision), or both eyes may be adjusted for mixed vision (blended vision).

Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 55 years old
  • You have presbyopia (need reading glasses) and are a good candidate for LASIK surgery
  • Your eyeglass prescription has been stable for at least 1 year
  • You have not had previous eye surgery
  • You do not have corneal disease, severe dry eye, or other serious eye conditions
  • You can commit to multiple follow-up visits over the study period
