Eye Surgery Approach for Nearsightedness With Specific Eye Alignment

Who can take part

  • Age 18–40 years old with stable glasses prescription for at least 1 year
  • Nearsightedness or nearsightedness with astigmatism (blurred vision at all distances) within the range treatable by SMILE surgery
  • Healthy cornea (clear front layer of eye) with normal thickness for surgery
  • Best vision with glasses or contacts of 20/20 or better before surgery
  • Specific eye alignment measurement (kappa angle) showing offset of at least 0.20mm in either direction
  • Able to attend all follow-up visits and cooperate fully during surgery and recovery
