Who can take part
- You have advanced (metastatic or recurrent) HER2-positive breast cancer that has not been treated before
- You are a woman between 18 and 75 years old
- Your cancer has at least one measurable tumor spot on imaging scans
- You are in good enough health to tolerate treatment (ECOG 0 or 1 score)
- You have not had recent surgery, radiation, or other cancer drugs within 4 weeks
- You must be willing to use effective birth control during and for 7 months after treatment
