Who can take part

  • You've had a stroke (in either side of the brain) that affected your ability to speak, understand, or communicate
  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are currently in hospital for neurorehabilitation OR attending outpatient rehabilitation
  • Italian is your native language (you grew up speaking Italian as your first language)
  • You are stable enough to participate—no active serious infections, confusion, or need for oxygen support
  • You are able to understand and agree to join the study
