Who can take part

  • You are 21–75 years old
  • You have had (or will have) brain electrodes surgically implanted as part of your regular medical care or another research study
  • You are in stable overall health and able to understand English
  • You can give informed consent and follow all study instructions
  • You do not have a history of chronic heavy alcohol use
  • You have no other implanted devices (like aneurysm clips or large metal plates) that could interfere with ultrasound
