Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with Bell's palsy affecting one side of your face (not both sides)
- You are 18 years old or older
- Your facial weakness is at a moderate to severe level (levels II–V on the House-Brackmann scale, which your doctor can confirm)
- You do not have a history of facial nerve problems on the same side returning
- You do not have severe high blood pressure (over 200/120 mmHg)
- You do not have central nervous system conditions, facial numbness, or upper motor neuron facial nerve damage
