Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have diabetic retinopathy (diabetes-related damage to blood vessels in the eye), with or without swelling in the central vision area
  • Your eye doctor believes you need an anti-VEGF injection (a type of medicine that reduces abnormal blood vessel growth)
  • You have not received anti-VEGF or steroid injections in this eye within the past 5 months
  • You have not had eye surgery or laser treatment in this eye within the past 3 months
  • You can attend follow-up appointments and comply with study procedures
