  • You are 40 years or older
  • You have diabetes and non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy
  • You need cataract surgery
  • You do not have severe diabetic eye disease (like proliferative retinopathy or macular edema affecting the center of vision)
  • You have not had eye surgery, laser, or anti-VEGF injections in the study eye within the past 6 months
  • Your overall health is stable (no recent stroke or heart attack)
