Who can take part

  • Age 18–70 years old
  • Have small leftover kidney stones (15 mm or smaller) after a percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedure (a surgical procedure to remove larger stones)
  • Normal kidney function (serum creatinine less than 1.5 mg/dL, meaning your kidneys are working well)
  • No active urinary tract infection at the time of enrollment
  • No bleeding disorders or current use of blood-thinning medications
  • No blocked kidney drainage or active blood infection
