Who can take part

  • You need to receive at least four doses of an anthracycline (a type of chemotherapy drug) as part of your cancer treatment
  • You have never received anthracycline chemotherapy before
  • You have not received other heart-damaging drugs in the past 6 months (like HER2 inhibitors, immunotherapy drugs, or high-dose cyclophosphamide)
  • You don't have a pacemaker or other metal implants that would prevent you from having heart imaging scans
  • You have no prior heart radiation to the chest area before starting this treatment
  • You are able to understand and give consent to participate in this study
