  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have esophageal cancer confirmed by biopsy (tissue sample)
  • Your cancer is stage 4 (advanced) or has come back after previous treatment
  • Your doctor plans to treat you with PD-1 immunotherapy (a specific type of immune-boosting drug)
  • You are in good enough health to tolerate treatment (ECOG score 0–2, meaning you can do most normal activities)
