Who can take part
- Age 18–70 years old
- Diagnosed with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis for at least 3 months

- No bowel surgery for UC in the past, and unlikely to need surgery during the study
- No active infections in the intestines in the last 30 days
- Willing to use effective contraception during the study and for 1 month after treatment ends
