- Child is between 1 and 18 years old
- Diagnosed with primary dilated cardiomyopathy (enlarged, weakened heart chamber) confirmed by heart ultrasound
- Already taking heart failure medications prescribed by a cardiologist
- No other known cause for heart weakness, such as birth defects, past infections, or heart surgery complications
- No serious liver or kidney problems, very low blood pressure, or eye nerve damage
- Being treated at or visiting Assiut University children's hospital
