Who can take part
- Your child is between 1 and 12 years old
- Your child has been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart) confirmed by heart ultrasound
- Your child does not have other types of heart muscle disease (like hypertrophic or restrictive cardiomyopathy)
- Your child's enlarged heart is not caused by birth defects or rheumatic heart disease
- If your child is in the control group, they must be visiting the pediatric cardiology clinic for a minor, non-serious illness
