Who can take part

  • Age 45–85 years
  • Chronic knee pain from osteoarthritis (bone-on-bone wear) for at least 6 months
  • Moderate-to-severe arthritis on X-rays (Grade 3 or 4)
  • Pain score of 5 or higher on a 0–10 scale
  • Conservative treatments (physical therapy, anti-inflammatory drugs, or knee injections) have not worked well for at least 3 months
  • You responded well to a test nerve block injection (at least 50% pain relief lasting at least 24 hours)
