Who can take part

  • You have severe (grade 4) knee osteoarthritis as seen on an X-ray.
  • You have tried other treatments like pain medicine, physical therapy, or injections and they did not work well enough.
  • You have not had a knee replacement surgery.
  • You do not have a heart pacemaker or implantable defibrillator.
  • You are not taking blood-thinning medications (anticoagulants).
