- You are at least 18 years old and currently hospitalized in an intensive care unit (ICU)
- Your doctor has decided to give you extra fluids to treat low blood pressure or signs of poor blood circulation
- You have signs of circulatory failure, such as low blood pressure (below 65 mmHg), fast heart rate, cold mottled skin, low urine output, or high lactate levels in blood
- You are enrolled in a national health insurance system
- You do not have severe respiratory distress (very fast breathing or severe breathing difficulty)
- You do not have a recent heart attack, blood clots in the lungs, or severe valve disease
