Who can take part

  • Cancer has spread to your spine (metastases) and is suitable for a focused radiation therapy called SBRT
  • You have 5 or fewer tumors total in your body
  • Your spine is relatively stable (SINS score below 7, meaning the tumor hasn't weakened your vertebrae too much)
  • You are 18 years or older with a life expectancy of at least 12 months
  • You are in good overall health (ECOG performance status 0–1, meaning you can do most daily activities)
  • You have only one active tumor on the specific vertebra being treated (though other vertebrae can have tumors too)
