Who can take part
- You have a solid tumor that has spread to the spine between the neck and tailbone
- The tumor is touching the spinal cord or nerve roots but not pressing on them or causing symptoms
- Your cancer is stable enough that you can take care of yourself (World Health Organization score 0 or 1)
- Your spine is stable (not at risk of breaking) based on a special score
- You can lie still for at least 30 minutes without severe pain
- You have not had radiation to the same area of the spine before
