Who can take part
- Age 18–65 years old
- Diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer (non-keratinizing type) that is advanced but has not spread to other parts of the body
- Never received cancer treatment before
- Healthy enough to tolerate chemotherapy and radiation (good heart, lung, liver, and kidney function)
- Blood counts (hemoglobin, white blood cells, platelets) within acceptable range
- Not pregnant, not nursing, and willing to use contraception during treatment
