Who can take part

  • Age 18–65 years old
  • Diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer (non-keratinizing type) that is advanced but has not spread to other parts of the body
  • Never received cancer treatment before
  • Healthy enough to tolerate chemotherapy and radiation (good heart, lung, liver, and kidney function)
  • Blood counts (hemoglobin, white blood cells, platelets) within acceptable range
  • Not pregnant, not nursing, and willing to use contraception during treatment
