NeoCast embolization for subdural hematoma treatment

Subdural Hematoma

This trial tests a newer way to treat subdural hematoma—a bleeding problem inside the brain. After surgery to drain the blood, you'll receive an additional minimally invasive procedure (middle meningeal artery embolization) using a new device called NeoCast to help prevent the bleeding from coming back.

Who can take part

  • Age between 18 and 90 years old
  • Subdural hematoma (fluid/blood layer in brain) measuring at least 10 mm thick, confirmed by imaging
  • Symptoms within the last 30 days such as headache, memory problems, speech difficulty, balance issues, weakness, or seizures
  • Planned for both surgery to drain the hematoma and embolization procedure within 7 days of each other
  • Able to return for follow-up clinic visits
  • Not pregnant (if applicable) and willing to use contraception during the trial
