Ablative Therapy for Cancer After Initial Treatment Response

Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with one of 17 specific cancer types (breast, lung, head/neck, stomach, pancreas, bladder, kidney, prostate, colon, melanoma, or others)
  • Your cancer responded well to your first-line treatment (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or targeted therapy) and has not grown for 3–6 months
  • You have a small number of remaining tumor spots (oligometastatic disease) that doctors agree can be safely destroyed with local ablation
  • You are in good overall health (ECOG performance status 0 or 1, meaning you can care for yourself and do light activity)
  • You have not received any prior systemic cancer treatment before your current first-line therapy
  • All remaining tumors are from the same original cancer (no new separate cancers)
