Who can take part

  • You have gum disease (moderate to advanced stage) with at least 20 teeth
  • You are generally healthy with no chronic diseases affecting your gums
  • You have not had gum disease treatment in the past 6 months
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the past 3 months
  • You do not drink alcohol
  • You are not taking medications that affect inflammation or swelling
