Virtual reality training for balance after stroke

This study tests if using virtual reality headset games can help improve your balance, walking, daily activities, and quality of life after a recent stroke. If you join, you will do special balance and walking exercises with virtual reality.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have weakness on one side of your body (called hemiplegia) from a stroke.
  • Your thinking and memory (tested with a simple exam) score is above 10.
  • You are not already getting other special balance or walking treatments like robot-assisted training.
  • You can attend all treatment sessions and not miss three sessions in a row.
