High-Risk Localized Prostate Cancer

Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with high-risk prostate cancer with exactly one major risk factor (large tumor, aggressive grade, or high PSA level)
  • Cancer confirmed by biopsy to be adenocarcinoma and must show up very brightly on a special PET scan
  • Cancer hasn't spread to distant organs or enlarged lymph nodes outside the pelvis
  • Eligible for and willing to receive radiation therapy and hormone therapy
  • Blood work and organ function tests from the past 6 weeks show healthy bone marrow and kidneys
  • No prior cancer treatment except up to 45 days of hormone therapy, and able to use condoms for 6 months after treatment
