Who can take part

  • You have advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (stage III or IV) that has not been treated with chemotherapy or radiation before
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You have at least one measurable tumor visible on imaging
  • Your body can handle the treatment (good heart, liver, kidney, and blood cell function)
  • You are willing to use birth control during treatment and for 6 months after if you can have children
  • You do not have a history of other cancers in the past 5 years (except skin cancer or thyroid cancer)
