Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You had a spinal cord injury within the last 12 months
- Your injury is classified as ASIA level C or D (motor incomplete—meaning you have some voluntary movement in your legs)
- You can stand and take steps with your legs, though you may need help from another person or use equipment like walkers
- You have a goal related to walking or mobility when you start outpatient physical therapy
- You do not have medical restrictions (like weight-bearing limits or heart problems) that would prevent intense standing or walking exercise
