Sleep Apnea Treatment Pressure and Breathing Measurements Study

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)

This study helps doctors understand how to better adjust sleep apnea breathing machines by measuring your airway. You'll have a simple breathing test and overnight sleep study to help improve treatment.

Who can take part

  • Age 18–80 years old
  • Diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) confirmed by overnight sleep study
  • Moderate-to-severe sleep apnea (at least 15 breathing interruptions per hour)
  • Starting or adjusting a positive airway pressure machine (CPAP or BiPAP)
  • Able to complete a simple impulse oscillometry breathing test
  • No central sleep apnea, neuromuscular disease, or restrictive lung disease
