Who can take part

  • You have been receiving nighttime home parenteral nutrition (nutrition delivered through a vein at home) for at least 2 months
  • You are referred from one of four specific hospitals or clinics in southern Spain
  • You have not had any serious infections, hospitalizations, blood transfusions, or emergency room visits in the last month
  • Your diet and exercise habits have stayed the same for the last 2 months (no major changes)
  • You do not have a diagnosed sleep disorder or circadian rhythm disorder (problems with your body's internal clock)
  • You are not taking melatonin or other sleep aids
