Timing of Tube Feeding and Body Rhythms

Hospitalised Patients With Enteral Nutrition

Part of Digestive system clinical trials.

This study looks at how the timing of tube feeding (enteral nutrition) throughout the day affects your body's natural sleep and wake cycles. Researchers want to understand if adjusting when you receive nutrition might help improve your sleep and overall health.

Overnight feeding to improve sleep in ICU heart surgery patients

This trial studies whether planned overnight nutrition (through a feeding tube) can reduce sleep problems and daily body-clock disruption while you’re in the ICU after certain heart surgery. It may help you get more restful sleep and better regular “wake–sleep” timing during recovery.

Timing of IV nutrition in critically ill patients

This trial tests whether giving IV nutrition (supplemental parenteral nutrition) at different times helps critically ill patients who are not getting enough calories from tube feeding alone. It may improve recovery for people with organ failure in the ICU.

Intermittent tube feeding for organ failure in the ICU

This trial tests if giving tube feeding at certain times of day, instead of continuously, helps people on breathing machines recover from organ failure faster. It is for patients who need a breathing tube and are receiving medicine to support their blood pressure.
