Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older
  • Starting or within 4 weeks of beginning anti-PD-1 immunotherapy (a type of immune-boosting cancer drug) approved by the FDA
  • Cancer that is not metastatic (spread to other parts of the body)
  • Life expectancy of at least 12 months according to your doctor
  • No recent bone fractures in the pelvis, hips, thighs, or spine
  • Able to lie flat still for 20-25 minutes for bone density imaging (a painless scan)
