Who can take part
- Age between 18 and 65 years old
- Normal weight (BMI 18.5–24.9, which means not overweight)
- Prediabetic blood sugar levels: fasting glucose 100–125 mg/dL, OR 2-hour glucose 140–199 mg/dL, OR HbA1c 5.7–6.4%
- Low insulin resistance (HOMA-IR score below 1.5—a measure of how well your body uses insulin)
- No diabetes diagnosis, no active infection or inflammation, and no digestive system disorders
