Who can take part
- Your BMI (body mass index) must be between 18.5 and 45.9
- You must have impaired fasting glucose (100–126 mg/dL) or impaired glucose tolerance on a glucose tolerance test, but NOT a diabetes diagnosis
- You cannot be pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
- You cannot have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or a first-degree relative with type 1 diabetes
- You cannot take certain medications (like GLP-1 agonists) that affect blood sugar
- You must not have had weight loss greater than 3% in the last 3 months or be doing intense exercise more than 3 days per week
